The Darling Downs South West Regional Human Resources branch is seeking a passionate and highly skilled HR professional to join the team.
This role provides expert advice on human resource management services, including workforce management strategies, recruitment and selection, industrial relations, organisational health services, change management, complex HR issues, and school workforce management.
The position involves managing a team of regional staff to deliver HR services across the Darling Downs South West region.

About The Role Responsibilities Include: Monitor, plan, and lead work or project teams that assist schools in achieving organizational goals through improved resource use and HR practices. Contribute to change and relational management processes as a senior member of the regional and HR program management team. Establish effective internal partnerships to deliver quality HR services. Conduct reviews of HR services programs and functions. Develop innovative solutions to support schools in workforce planning aligned with their core missions and community needs. Assist schools in developing workforce plans, structures, and processes that promote workplace health and safety. Identify and address high-level HR policy issues in collaboration with key stakeholders, supporting departmental strategies. Support local consultancies to build school and community capacity and provide HR services and advice. Refer staff to employee counselling and support services. Manage cases involving medical concerns, including rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, and ill-health retirement options. Advise schools on performance management, handle complaints and grievances, facilitate conflict resolution, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed. Interested?
