Accounts Payable Officer (90M ) Mascot, Sydney, Australia
Salary: AUD38 - AUD42 per hour + Subject to extension
Your New Company/Role:
As a well established organisation, my client is looking for a young and dynamic Accounts Payable Officer to join their team for a 6 months temporary (subject to extension). The role is to be based in their Mascot NSW 2020 office. Onsite parking is provided alongside 2 days work from home flexibility. Working holiday visa candidates are welcomed to apply.
This is a role where you'll be the expert on vendor management and setting up current suppliers, working closely with the broader Accounts Payable team to ensure a seamless process.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Accounts Payable Manager; you are responsible for
- Setting up new vendors/setting up suppliers in the system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Dealing with overseas payments and being able to perform multiple checks i.e. banks, internal and vendors.
- Dealing roughly with 25 vendors per week.
- Serving as a key point of contact, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth vendor management.
- Managing the vendor management inbox, responding to inquiries and maintaining clear communication.
- Conducting regular checks and reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data integrity.
- Working with internal departments to verify information and streamline processes.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within vendor master data/supplier setup and vendor management. You will also bring:
- Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar accounts payable or vendor management role is essential
- A strong background in master vendor setup is highly desirable
- Proven ability to perform detailed reconciliations and checks.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Prior experience in Oracle and Aptos would be highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 6 months temporary position - subject to extension
- Open to someone who has short notice period
- $38.00 - $42.00 per hour + Super
