2026 Graduate Oral Health Therapist – Permanent, Full-time Positions
Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) is excited to welcome new graduates to our team in 2026 We are a close-knit and collaborative group of oral health professionals, made up of both proud locals and adventurous newcomers who now call Tasmania home. We work across major centres and community dental clinics, delivering contemporary, evidence-based care to our communities.

Our graduate program is designed to give you the time and space to develop your clinical skills, reflect on your practice, and grow. The Graduate Oral Health Therapist positions are designed for individuals who have successfully completed a Bachelor of Oral Health (or equivalent) within the past year.
This role is focused on improving the health of Tasmanians by:
* Providing a high standard of oral health care to children and young adults;
* Delivering health education, health promotion and preventative outreach programs; and
* Supporting individuals and communities to increase control over their oral health.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing Wednesday 4 February 2026.
Salary:$73,834 to $111,364 pro rata per annum + 12% superannuation (salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Agreement 2024).
Recreation Leave: Employees are entitled to four (4) weeks paid recreation leave per leave year for full-time staff.

* Graduate Program:
o Modified appointment lengths to support transition to practice.

o Clinical mentorship from experienced Dental Therapists, Oral Health Therapists and Dentists.
o Structured education program with over 30 hours of free CPD including hands-on workshops across the year and in different locations across Tasmania.

If you are expecting to graduate from mid-2025 through to mid-2026, you will be offered an Allied Health Scholarship. The Allied Health Scholarship Program provides up to $25,000 to support the costs of studying.
Scholarship recipients will receive $15,000 in Year 1 of the Program (2026) and a further $10,000 in Year 4 of the Program, following completion of three years' service with the Tasmanian Health Service.
