Nursing Support Worker for a base wage between $76,600- $78,600 per year, depending on skill level + Superannuation - Overtime and Penalty Rates are also available
Our client is a small community-based noted-for-profit home located in a small town of Meningie. Our client is looking for an experienced Nursing Support Worker to join the team focussed on ensuring an excellent quality of care to residents and by extension, their families.
Clinical & Care Support:
•Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance while promoting independence
•Support medication management by reminding residents and assisting with medication administration under nurse supervision
•Assist with basic wound care, applying dressings, and reporting any changes to nursing staff
Therapy & Rehabilitation Assistance:
•Implement prescribed therapy plans including gentle exercises and mobility support
•Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists during treatment sessions
•Support dementia care by implementing behaviour management strategies
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of care provided
•Document changes in resident conditions, behaviours, or care needs
•Complete incident reports and risk assessments when required
Resident Wellbeing & Engagement:
•Provide emotional support through active listening and meaningful conversation
•Encourage resident participation in social activities and community programs
•Advocate for resident rights and preferences in all care decisions
Follow infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene and PPE use
•Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
•1+ years of full-time experience in aged care or disability support
•Current flu vaccination & COVID-19 immunisation
•Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
