Overview
GP Sales Representative - Primary Care (NSW South Coast) role at Illawarra Mercury. The position focuses on collaborating with Primary Health Care Practitioners in the South Coast of New South Wales to educate healthcare professionals about approved indications, product efficacy/safety profiles, and to support on-label prescribing.
We are seeking a agile GP Sales Representative to be the link between innovative treatments and patient care, build strong relationships, and contribute to improved health outcomes in the community. This role values personal growth and development and requires an energetic, results-driven approach.
What You'll Do
- Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations and Medicines Australia (MA) qualification.
- Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness, results focus, collaboration, teamwork, and leadership.
- Engage primary care healthcare professionals in dialogue about indications and product safety profiles to support appropriate on-label prescribing.
- Work with the Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet or exceed sales and call execution goals in the territory.
- Use data from multiple sources to build a view of customers and their needs to support smart decisions and exceed sales targets.
- Drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets are met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed markets information relative to the territory.
- Follow all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, and MA Code of Conduct.
Essential For The Role
- Bachelor\'s degree (or other suitable qualification)
- Prior selling experience and/or medical background
- Interpersonal effectiveness, partnership, and leadership
- Ability to plan and drive the business on the territory
- Structured selling process to understand customer needs, listen, personalize messaging, and close with actions
Desirable for the role
- Experience in a digital environment and using data and touchpoints to enhance sales
- Knowledge of disease areas, brands, and the healthcare environment
