Description

Join Anglicare WA's Student Wellbeing Service where you will engage with students through a wide range of school-based activities, provide support for students to connect with professional staff within the school, outreach to disengaged students and their families, support young people to access and connect with community based services, and facilitate school wellbeing workshops or programmes. This is a max-term, full-time opportunity (5 days per week) until 29 January 2027, based at Chapman Valley, Yuna and Binnu Primary School.

Skills and Experiences
* Cert IV in Youth Work, other relevant Cert IV or tertiary qualification that permits registration as a counsellor, teacher, social worker, psychologist, nurse or midwife.
* Trauma informed practice
* De‐scalation techniques
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced dynamic school environment
* Have contemporary knowledge of the issues impacting children and young people
* Ability to accept, respect and work with children and young people:
o from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities
o from different cultures, particularly with Aboriginal & CaLD young people
o who may identify as LGBTQIA+
o from all belief systems
* Understanding of education system
* Ability to facilitate small groups

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance and Department of Education Clearance valid within one year, Working with Children's and WA Drivers Licence.

Remuneration And Benefits
* Employed under Anglicare WA's Employee Collective Agreement
* Contract length – to 29 January 2027
* Work only during school terms
* Working 5 days per week
* From $44.59 + 10% remote localities allowance 12% super + annual leave and personal leave (accrued based on hours worked)
* Pay for hours worked (+ accrued annual leave) is spread across the entire term of employment contract, ensuring a pay every fortnight
* Additional remuneration for induction training and required professional development
* Salary Packaging Benefits (package up to $15,900 per annum)
