About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales (DOS) to lead our hotel's sales strategy and drive commercial success across accommodation, conferences & events, and food & beverage outlets. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with Area and National Sales & Marketing teams, you will elevate the hotel's market profile, grow revenue, and foster strong client relationships. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration, aligned with EVT's brand pillars: Empowerment, Possibilities, and Community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow market share


• Identify new business opportunities through proactive sales calls, partnerships, and lead generation


• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine strategies


• Lead, coach, and mentor the Sales team to deliver high performance


• Build and maintain long-term client relationships across all business segments


• Oversee major accounts, tenders, and contract renewals


• Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue, and Operations teams to optimise yield and conversion


• Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and client functions


• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning

Skills & Experience:

• 3–5 years' senior sales leadership experience in hospitality


• Proven success managing accounts valued over $1M and delivering revenue growth


• Strong leadership skills with experience managing/coaching teams of 5+ direct reports


• Strategic thinker with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills


• Advanced knowledge of CRM tools, hotel PMS systems, and Microsoft Office


• Familiarity with EVT systems (PowerBI, Agency360, revenue reporting tools) highly regarded


• Experience in hotel opening or repositioning (desirable)


• Professional, resilient, and client-focused with a track record of building strong partnerships
