Overview
The Medical Receptionist will provide general administrative support to Allied Health and General Practice teams at our Ballan Medical Clinic. Our health and community services precinct in the heart of Ballan provides a comprehensive range of primary care services, dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of the local community. This role is responsible for providing a first and long-lasting impression for enquiries and appointments in our GP Clinic. Working closely with the GP Clinic's manager, you will undertake reception and administration tasks which include data entry, billing, reception duties, supporting enquiries and answering phone calls.
Responsibilities
* Provide reception and general administrative support to the GP Clinic and associated teams.
* Handle enquiries and appointments, including answering phone calls and directing callers as appropriate.
* Data entry and billing tasks as part of front-desk operations.
* Support internal and external stakeholders with courteous, professional service.
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including experience liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* A solid commitment to providing high quality customer service and a genuine interest in the elderly.
* Robust skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
* Proactive approach to work and the ability to take initiative with tasks.
* High level of organisational skills.
* Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
