Job Description
MEGT are seeking Business Administration Trainees to complete a Certificate III in Business while gaining valuable hands‐on experience with the City of Rockingham. These traineeships offer the chance to develop practical skills, build industry knowledge, and earn while you learn in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Reception duties including greeting visitors, receiving parcels, issuing keys to contractors, and answering phone enquiries.
- Triaging and reallocating incoming maintenance requests through the CRM system.
- Processing invoices and collating documentation for authorised officer approval.
- Raising purchase requisitions and supporting procurement administration tasks.
- Assisting with utility‐related administration tasks, including water, electricity, and gas support.
- Distributing communications to the Building Maintenance team, including training opportunities, procedure updates, wellbeing initiatives, and general team announcements.
- Providing general administrative support to the Building Maintenance team and assisting with day‐to‐day operations.
- Opening and closing depot buildings, gates, fuel pumps, and garages, ensuring facilities are secure and operational.
- Managing store inventory, including stock receivals, issues, returns, reissues, stock takes, and engraving requests.
- Providing customer service and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Processing and updating records in Authority and CRM systems, including plant registrations, maintenance requests, and job status updates.
- Raising purchase orders and sourcing parts required for fleet and workshop maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinating and scheduling vehicles and equipment for servicing, maintenance, and repair works while providing general administrative support to the team.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a positive and professional approach to working with a diverse range of people.
- A motivated and reliable attitude, with a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy, numeracy, and literacy skills, with the ability to learn new systems.
