Description
The Senior Accountant role will be responsible for the following:
* Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
* Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
* Support the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors.
* Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
* Mentor and provide support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Background in audit or business services (mid tier or big-4 ideal)
* Proven experience in accounting roles, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector ideal
* Proficiency in using an ERP system ideal
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
