About the opportunity

The Zone Training Delivery Officer (TDO) is responsible for planning and implementing both training and exercises within the NSW SES. The TDO provides quality training coordination and delivers support to volunteer Trainers, Assessor & Members.

Based from the NSW SES Southern Zone Office (Wagga Wagga), the TDO undertakes functions to ensure that the Statewide Training and Exercise plan is successfully implemented - including course administration, record keeping, scheduling, and customer service.

Travel across the NSW SES Southern Zone and broader NSW will be required for this position, with some varied working hours (afternoons / weekends) as needed.

About you

You will have experience in course administration, training planning, and strong communication skills that will build rapport with learners and stakeholders to ensure professional, high-quality training delivery. The ability to problem solve and plan in advance is an important factor of the role.

To thrive you will be confident in managing course administration and scheduling, including the ability to provide adult vocational training advice to learners, trainers and assessors. Having some proven experience in the delivery of training, including through flexible learning environments (face to face, virtual and hybrid locations) will support the successful applicant in performing the role.

* Attractive salary range of $97,027 to $107,059 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading + field allowance

* Using examples, please describe how you have supported a large group of trainers and/or assessors within an organisation to ensure quality training and assessment is being planned and delivered to learners.
* Please provide an overview of one project you were involved in and/or coordinated. Your answer must include details on how you adequately planned ahead to ensure quality completion of the project. Your answer should incorporate any barriers that were identified and how they were overcome.
