We are looking for someone to
Provide day-to-day human resources support across Keolis Downer Bus business units in NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia as part of a shared HR services model working with the business to ensure our ability to attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged and committed workforce whilst providing support in all HR, industrial and employee relations matters.
Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and projects to enhance capability across Keolis Downer Bus nationally, aiming to increase our staff engagement, empower our managers, improve cooperative and innovative behaviours and overall upliftment of the Keolis Downer Bus employees.
Assist all Keolis Downer Bus subsidiaries with various HR business partnering needs in a blue-collar environment as required under the direction of the Head of HR.
About you
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or ER Advisor is required.
* Experience with complex blue collar workforce environments including specifically enterprise agreements, industrial relations, employee relations, disciplinary and performance matters are a must.
* Understanding of the compliance, legal and industrial relations environment ideally in the transport industry.
* Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, employee representatives, union officials, legal practitioners and other stakeholders.
* Knowledge of HR trends against industry best practice, ability to partner with business leaders through complex disciplinary and employee relations matters.
* Change methodology and project management expertise.
* Can form influential relationships with stakeholders at all levels from front line to senior management including collaboration with diverse teams.
* Drive, passion, energy, critical thinking, ambition, growth and performance mindset.
* Takes initiative and is motivated by 'getting things done' in a fast paced and varied environment with ability to autonomously manage workload to required deadlines.

What you will do
* Under the direction of the Head of HR, you will work in partnership with the executive team and state managers to ensure the effective implementation and management of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures across Keolis Downer Bus that provide an optimal working environment and promote a culture of excellence and performance.
* Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and recommendations in relation to key processes throughout the employee lifecycle from attraction, onboarding, retention, performance management, development and offboarding to the executive team and state managers across Keolis Downer Bus and partnering locally with front line managers as required.
* Assist locally in day-to-day HR support partnering with management across the business units in matters relating to employee relations, grievances and other business decisions including employee conditions, disciplinary action, counselling, redundancies and terminations as required under the direction of the Head of HR and specialist business partners.
* Assist locally in day-to-day management of KD's industrial relations environment partnering with management across the business units including enterprise-based agreements, award interpretation, dispute resolution, legal interpretation and legislative compliance under the direction of the Head of HR and specialist business partners.
* Actively contribute to the development and implementation of performance management policies and practices at all levels of the business that align individual performance/behaviour to strategic imperatives.
* Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the Keolis Downer Bus HR Strategy and Plan including development of KPIs and complete implementation initiatives and projects assigned as part of the process.
* Assist regional resources with initiatives and projects to ensure relevant HR, WHS and EEO legislative compliance and people management capability across Keolis Downer Bus that promote employee engagement, the maintenance of a harmonious work environment and comply with legislative requirements.
* Actively contribute to sharing best practice, insights, and utilising collective resources to improve people management capability of managers and leaders across Keolis Downer Bus throughout the employee lifecycle as part of the Keolis Downer Bus HR team in partnership with executive team and state managers.
* Monitor legislative changes and stay up to date with industry trends and requirements for HR and the passenger transport industry to provide proactive solutions and ensure compliance and best practice across Keolis Downer Bus shared HR services model.
* Assist with monthly or ad hoc HR or relevant contract reporting as required and other Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of HR.
