Are you a strategic communicator with a flair for events and relationship management? Airbus is looking for a **Public Affairs and Events Manager** to join our dynamic team. This is a customer-focused role that plays a pivotal part in managing external marketing communications, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and coordinating events that promote Airbus' brand, products, and services.
**About the Role**
In this role, you'll be the key link between our organisation and the wider community, including customers, government, and industry partners. You will work closely with local, regional, and central Communications, Sales, and Public Affairs teams, contributing to the development and execution of strategic marketing and engagement activities.
This is a hands-on and collaborative position that involves both independent project management and cross-functional teamwork with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities 
- Assist and lead in the development and implementation of marketing communication strategies, aligned with Airbus policies and tailored to local context. 
- Identify and coordinate media opportunities, develop messaging, and work closely with senior leaders and Airbus communications teams on public engagement activities. 
- Plan and deliver high-impact events, managing logistics, budgets, and communications using a project-based approach. 
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including government, community leaders, and industry representatives. 
- Develop compelling internal and external communications materials, including presentations, country briefs, and market analysis. 
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment and trends, advising the business on reputational risks and opportunities.

**Essential Experience & Knowledge** 
- 10+ years in strategic communications, media relations, event management and/or stakeholder engagement. 
- Experience working within complex organisational structures. 
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on reputation management and brand development.
**Desirable** 
- Background in the aerospace industry. 
- Government relations experience (3+ years). 
- Experience working at Airbus. 
- Proficiency in Salesforce.
**Qualifications** 
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field, or significant relevant experience. 
- Formal training in Project or Event Management is highly regarded.
**Skills** 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships. 
- Experience in event planning and/or project management. 
- Sound organisational and time management skills. 
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. 
- Adaptability to fast-paced, multicultural environments. 
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
