Job Title: Security Operations Specialist
Job Summary:
The Police Security Services Branch (PSSB) is a business unit responsible for providing security services to the public sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of government assets and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide operational support under general direction to ensure efficient and effective security of government assets on a 24-hour, 7-day roster basis
Operate and monitor alarms, CCTV, and emergency telephone systems utilizing government radio networks and computer systems to detect and coordinate responses to incidents
Undertake static, foot, and mobile protective security duties including operation of security equipment pursuant to duty statements of work locations
Prepare reports and provide statements required for evidentiary purposes
Assist in induction and training of other branch members
Engage with stakeholders to ensure best practice in customer service
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
Subject to a criminal history check
Shift work is a requirement of the position (24/7)
Some intrastate travel may be required

Training: Police Security Officer Qualification Program consisting of classroom-based instruction and on-the-job hands-on training with experienced staff at the Police Academy and other locations
