The client:
A reputed client that has been operating for over a century providing services to WA.
The role:
The
Senior Cyber Security Specialist
will monitor the security and integrity of all IT systems and assist with designing and implementing security solutions that adhere to prescribed security standards. This is a permanent role based mostly onsite in Fremantle with occasional travel to Kwinana required.
Responsibilities include:
* Analyse performance and availability of the business' IT Security Systems and Services
* Provide technical security advice to support the branch, division and business technological options relevant to security activities
* Identify problem areas, design, propose and implement solutions to enhance IT Security Systems and Services
* Assist in the development of Risk Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and approved standards
Key skills:
* Proven experience in a Senior Cyber Security role working for Enterprise scale environments
* Hands-on technical experience supporting Microsoft environments including Azure, Sentinel, Defender and SOC Security Operations
* Demonstrated experience in developing strategic security plans and security standards, taking into consideration the enterprise architecture, current and future state
* The ability to collaborate but also function independently
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Relevant tertiary education / certifications preferred within IT/ Information Security preferred
