About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (Endoscopy) to join our dedicated team in Wagga Wagga.
In this crucial role, you will provide advanced, evidence‑based clinical care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. As a senior member of the team, you’ll contribute to clinical excellence, education, and the ongoing development of endoscopy services across the facility.
- Providing advanced clinical expertise in endoscopy nursing to ensure safe, high‑quality care across pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedure phases.
- Acting as a resource, mentor, and clinical leader for nursing staff within the Endoscopy Unit.
- Supporting staff development through education, clinical guidance, and evidence‑based practice.
- Leading initiatives to improve clinical processes, patient flow, and procedural safety.
- Participating in research, audits, and quality improvement projects to enhance outcomes and promote innovation.
- Promoting collaboration within the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care for patients and families.
- Contributing to the review and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards relevant to endoscopy nursing practice.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with demonstrated evidence to meet NMBA standards, codes, and guidelines commensurate with the position.
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to perioperative or gastroenterology nursing and at least 3 years’ full‑time equivalent clinical experience in endoscopy or related specialty.
- Advanced clinical skills and the ability to deliver complex, specialised care within an endoscopy setting.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and communication skills to support and educate nursing staff.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, evidence‑based practice, and quality improvement.
- Class C Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work purposes within MLHD (this may involve driving long distances).
