Make a difference with audiology diagnostic care that takes you through the heart of the Territory
The Role
As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate diagnostic services across urban, regional, and remote communities operating with in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to service development, clinical supervision, and continuous improvement.
You'll be travelling regularly to remote areas by light aircraft or 4WD for up to five days at a time, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in diverse settings.
NT Hearing Services
NT Hearing Services, provides free, culturally appropriate audiology services across urban, regional, and remote areas of the Northern Territory. Services include newborn hearing screening, diagnostic hearing assessments, and support for individuals with hearing impairments. There are clinics based in Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, and Tennant Creek, with outreach services are regularly delivered to remote communities, ensuring accessible care for all Territorians. The service also supports education, health promotion, and tele otology consultations, working closely with ENT specialists, local clinics, schools, and community organisations to improve hearing health outcomes across the Territory.
About you
You're an experienced audiologist ready to step beyond the clinic to deliver high-impact care. To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant qualification in audiology and be eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
* Clinical experience in providing contemporary, high-level audiology services.
* Proven ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload.
* Experience in clinical supervision of students and staff with a commitment to professional development.
* Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and experience in working effectively with patients and families/carers of diverse backgrounds.
