About the Role:
You will play a pivotal role in building and managing our operations across WA. This will involve developing strategies to grow our WA-based operations sustainably, optimizing efficiency, and delivering high-quality services to clients while maintaining a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building Operations: Lead the development and further growth of our WA operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Safety & Culture: Cultivate a safety-first culture by modeling positive, honest behaviors and ensuring safe work practices are always followed.
* Operational Efficiency: Identify operational inefficiencies and risks, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
* Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
* Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and within client expectations.
* Business Development: Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities and clients, contributing to the expansion and growth of our organization in WA.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategies, policies, and plans that meet client and legislative requirements.
* Financial Management: Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring targets are met.
* Reporting & Communication: Provide accurate and timely management reports, ensuring open and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Extensive experience in senior management roles within the mining industry, ideally with a focus on operations and team leadership.
* A proven track record in building and growing regional operations, with an eye for innovation, efficiency, and long-term success.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop emerging leaders within the team.
* Previous experience in supervising or managing mining shutdowns/outages.
* A strong commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
* Ability to drive change, pursue new business, and build relationships that support growth.
