Overview
Our client is a successful and highly profitable export company selling to a broad range of countries in Asia, Middle East and South America.
They need a switched on accountant to manage the books, and ensure all debts, compliances and taxes are correctly accounted for and paid on time.
Responsibilities
* Manage all bookkeeping/accounting, payroll and superannuation for 7 people
* Prepare FBT returns, quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements
Qualifications
* 10+ years Australian accounting experience
* Ideally have formal accounting qualifications
* Strong knowledge of MYOB and Excel
* Prior experience with foreign currency transactions is desirable
* Experience with export/shipping documentation would be viewed favourably
* Strong attention to detail
* Highly organized
* Ability to interact with people at all levels, including dealing with banks
* Enjoy working as part of a small team and assisting others when required
Logistics
For the right person who is organized and has strong attention to detail, once you are familiar with the role it should be easily completed in 4 or 4 1/2 days.
This role requires the person to work in the office and will start at 7am every day to coincide with Eastern States business hours. Accordingly you will finish work at 3:30pm.
