The role involves supervising and estimating repairs for domestic and commercial construction projects across New South Wales.
About the Job
Manage multiple small, medium and large repair projects from planning to delivery. Develop detailed scopes of work and accurate budget breakdowns. Ensure quality, safety and profitability standards are met. Work closely with project coordinators and tradespeople. Regular training and office attendance required.
Responsibilities
* Possess solid construction supervision experience in repairs. Proven skills in construction estimating. Experience working directly with clients, consultants and trades.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
* Business development mindset through quality service delivery. Knowledge of building codes and Australian standards.
Key Activities
* Compile and deliver detailed scope of works.
* Prepare accurate budget breakdowns for tendering and profitable delivery.
* Plan, schedule, and manage multiple construction repairs.
* Ensure trades/suppliers adhere to purchase orders, SOWs, and quote requests.
* Maintain construction schedules and budgets.
* Engage new trades and suppliers via procurement process.
* Implement and monitor safety processes.
* Forecast and achieve monthly completion targets.
Professional Requirements
* Proven track record in repair management. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
* Solid understanding of construction process, inspection points, permits, WHS, building codes, Australian standards.
* Ability to provide accurate progress updates internally and externally.
