In Orange, we run two residential rehabilitation services.
Wyla is a 20-bed residential program providing a safe and supportive environment for recovery, and Elouera is a live-in recovery service for women, where children under 12 can stay with their mothers, ensuring families remain connected during the rehabilitation journey.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking a female Cook to join our team and work across both Elouera and Wyla Residential Services.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents by preparing nutritious, home-style meals in a welcoming, recovery-focused environment.
Your work will help create a sense of comfort and community for people on their recovery journey.
We are offering a part-time role on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.
This position is for three days per week and involves supporting clients with menu preparation while ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen.
The hourly rate ranges from $***** to $*****, plus superannuation and access to salary packaging to help maximise your take-home pay.

What we are looking for
You will have a hospitality or catering background and ideally bring experience or knowledge of working within a commercial kitchen.
You will also offer the following skills to support your experience :
Knowledge of food purchasing and stock control, including managing a set budget and placing grocery orders.
Experience in menu planning and food preparation.
Completing kitchenhand duties such as maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and floors.
Build strong relationships with local businesses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Solid knowledge of nutrition; able to work within dietary requirements.
Supervisory skills – you'll be mentoring and supporting clients to develop skills in the kitchen.
A caring, compassionate, and respectful attitude – including working within professional boundaries.
High hygiene standards with significant knowledge of food safety and handling.
Good emotional regulation skills, with an understanding of de-escalation practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to a wide range of people
Understanding for the need to maintain confidentiality of clients – both at work and after hours.
Bringing, or willingness to obtain, HLTAID011 First Aid Training, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or higher
You will need to have a current, valid Australian Drivers Licence, Blue Card and a National Police Check.
