Based in Henderson, the Software Developer will be responsible for enhancing and supporting Austal's ICT systems, driving improvements to existing business applications, and developing scalable solutions. The role requires an analytical thinker who can architect simple, effective answers to complex technical challenges.

What's Involved
* Produce clean, efficient, well structured code that meets team standards and requirements. Code is readable, documented, version controlled, and passes static analysis, unit testing, and manual testing before deployment.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and modernise existing systems, including working with legacy technology stacks and planning effective migration paths.
* Contribute to current projects and proactively recommend improvements as issues or opportunities arise.
* Work autonomously and engage confidently with stakeholders, gathering requirements, taking initiative to solve complex problems, and presenting or implementing appropriate technical solutions.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, supporting developers at all levels and contributing to the design of robust, scalable solutions to ongoing technical challenges
You'll Need
* Diploma or Bachelors degree in IT (ie. Diploma of IT, Bachelor of Computer Science) or proven experience as a senior developer
* Experience with C# and .NET web applications
* Demonstrated experience in analysis, preparation and presentation of data
* Legacy code stacks VB / webforms (desirable)
* Cloud familiarity (desirable)
* Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
