Canberra Glee Club is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Choreographer/Dance Teacher to join our creative team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about dance education, enjoys working collaboratively, and can create engaging, age-appropriate choreography in a supportive and inclusive environment.
About Canberra Glee Club
Canberra Glee Club is a new organisation created by experienced singing teachers and performers. We are creating a Glee Club (show choir) for multiple age groups. We are currently building classes for Kindy to Year 2, Year 3 to Year 6, Year 7 to 10 and Year 11 to Adult. Sessions are currently scheduled on Thursday afternoons/evenings and are due to commence on 5 February 2026.
Canberra Glee Club is inspired by the show Glee and by years of holding workshops on Disney songs and songs from musicals with singing students. Recognising a need in Canberra, this weekly program has now been created to foster passionate performers, especially those who may not be getting opportunities in Canberra's amateur theatre community. Canberra Glee Club is inclusive and non-audition.
Canberra Glee Club will aim to balance fun with hard work and personal development for its members. It will have a more relaxed culture than a typical dance school and will be catering to a range of abilities. The repertoire will include musical theatre, Disney, K-pop (such as Demon Hunters) and some pop with flexibility to step into any genre.
