**Job Description**
The Senior OT Security Engineer is responsible for overseeing the security of operational technology (OT) systems. This involves working with vendors, contractors, and assets to establish and secure OT systems, develop procedures, and ensure all security requirements are met.
The role requires expert knowledge of control systems and a solid understanding of cyber risk management in industrial environments. The incumbent will represent the OT Security discipline and drive the implementation of security programs.
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
Create and maintain logical and physical network diagrams of OT components.
Monitor and manage user access controls and profiles for servers and networks.
Document and ensure compliance with OT security measures, manage risk registers, and oversee end-of-life systems.
Enforce access controls, manage system and remote access, password policies, and user competence.
Monitor systems for security alerts, review logs, manage antivirus and patches, handle incidents, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
Oversee OT systems such as ICSS, Electrical, and PAS; review communication security; manage vulnerabilities and supplier access.
Evaluate and document security controls, manage audits, define and close remediation actions, and support lifecycle management.
Provide input on OT architecture, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery; support system modifications and maintenance plans.
Manage CSIT engineers, conduct site visits, and ensure execution of maintenance processes.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; cybersecurity certifications like GICSP, CCNA, Windows MCSA, SSCP are advantageous.
Experience in a similar role supporting IT infrastructure and risk management.
Knowledge of IEC 62443 and experience in OT environments (oil and gas, mining, utilities).
Ability to travel to remote locations.
Project management experience (desirable).
Leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective communication in English.
Background in IT support, firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/IP, and ITIL processes; exposure to instrumentation/control is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
