About the Role
This position involves working collaboratively with families, carers, and communities to provide a safe and respectful environment for children and young people to thrive.
As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for building relationships through mentoring or youth work, monitoring family visits, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate contact between children and their families, promoting healthy relationships and open communication
* Maintain a safe and supportive environment during visits, prioritizing the needs and well-being of children and young people
* Develop rapport with children and young people through engaging activities and targeted support
* Provide transportation services as required
* Compile comprehensive reports detailing interactions with children and young people
Requirements
* Certificate 4 in Community Services or related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in youth work principles
* Current Unrestricted Full Driver's Licence, with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
* Ability to navigate computer systems and software, including Outlook
* Prior experience working with children and young people, with a passion for improving their quality of life and independence
* Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and research
