They will have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.ResponsibilitiesOwning and communicating the technical strategy for supported products, from design through BAU support.Ensuring scalability, maintainable systems through development and promoting adherence to patterns, governance processes and regular reviews.Supporting the team in resolving technical blockers and being an escalation point for technical decisions.Supporting and driving continuous development and continuous improvement principles within supported applications.Drive standardisation of technical practices across the team to support the delivery of business outcomes.Ensuring adherence to best practice and relevant Government and technical frameworks.Working as a conduit between technical and business stakeholders.Working as a conduit between the team and other digital or technical teams.Mentoring of technical staff.Developing and review of design, architectural and technical documentation.Driving and contributing to a high performing collaborative team culture.Other duties as requested.Strong stakeholder engagement and professional relationship management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Relevant experience in software development (.Net and Angular).
Experience in supporting digital solutions across a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.Experience developing guides, designs, architectural documents and other relevant artefacts.Qualifications or experience in supporting agile software development teams is desirable.Experience designing cloud native applications and/or migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud is desirable.QualificationsRelevant experience in software development (.Net and Angular).
