Role Description
This is a casual ongoing, on-site role based from Townsville QLD on an 8/6 Roster. The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Advisor will be responsible for enhancing and implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental Management systems, conducting workplace safety audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Other responsibilities include risk assessments, incident investigations, and providing safety training and guidance to team members to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
All Travel, Accommodation and Food will be covered by Parabellum for this role during the time required to work away. This role requires a pre-employment process in which includes a site specific Medical including a Drug and Alcohol test and a National Police Clearance.
Qualifications
* Competence in Health & Safety management, including a solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
* Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) principles and procedures.
* Certifications and expertise in Occupational Health, including familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
* NEBOSH (or equivalent) certification is essential, along with practical auditing skills.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Ability to stay up-to-date with health, safety, and environmental regulations and contribute to process improvements.
* Experience in emergency response, risk management, or relevant industries is highly desirable.
