Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer - (DSS Level 4), based in ACT to work on NSSG Maritime Domain projects.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
Lead and govern systems engineering across multiple maritime acquisition programsAssure requirements, design, integration, test and acceptance activitiesProvide authoritative engineering advice to senior stakeholdersChair engineering working groups and manage technical riskMentor and uplift APS and ADF engineering staff
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering recognised under the Washington AccordCPEng or eligibility highly regarded12+ years systems engineering experience in Defence or complex programsStrong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilityAbility to work across multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum NV1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
