Due to our growth, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team for an immediate start. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work on a wide range of mechanical systems and installations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineering Technician with Vertical Transport Solutions, you will be responsible for:
* Assist engineers in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and equipment.
* Create and modify CAD drawings for mechanical components and systems.
* Develop prototypes and conduct performance tests.
* Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
* Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions.
* Ensure proper calibration of equipment and machinery.
* Perform stress tests and inspections on mechanical systems and components.
* Maintain detailed records of test results and identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure all equipment meets safety and industry standards.
* Collect data and prepare reports for engineers to improve system efficiency.
* Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and other technicians to solve technical problems.
* Provide technical support during project execution phases.
* Train and guide team members or clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
* Prepare technical documentation, including manuals and standard operating procedures.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety guidelines.
* Analyze performance issues and recommend design modifications.
* Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and new technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
Certification: Qualifications related to Electrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering Technician, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical or mechanical installations and maintenance, ideally with elevators, escalators, or related equipment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic testing instruments, diagnostic tools, and familiarity with PLCs and automation systems.
Additional Requirements: White Card, valid driver's license, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
