As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, CTST provides transport, home maintenance, social support, disability services and domestic assistance to older Tasmanians and individuals with health or mobility limitations. Operating statewide, we are supported by a dedicated workforce of 500 staff and volunteers, a fleet of over 100 vehicles and a clear mission: to ensure every Tasmanian can access high-quality, reliable support to live well within their community.
About the Role
CTST is seeking up to four Disability Support Workers to join our Home Services – NDIS team in Devonport. In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support to participants aimed at maximising independence, community inclusion and personal choice.
You'll deliver services such as domestic assistance, social support, transport, meal preparation and group participation, all in line with individual care plans. Reporting to the NDIS Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in helping people with disability live well and connect with their community.
About You
Experience supporting people with a disability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage participant expectations
Ability to adjust approach in line with changing priorities
Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and professional in all duties
Ability to accurately document and manage participant information
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and web-based databases
Certificate III in Community Services
Knowledge of Devonport, Kentish, Latrobe, and Central Coast municipalities
Licences/Other Requirements
All CTST employees must:
hold a current C class (car) driver's licence with a minimum 2 years driving experience and a clean driving record (no major traffic violations in the past 3 years)
possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration with NDIS endorsement
hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate
be an Australian Resident or hold a valid Australian working visa
be willing to travel intrastate as required
