THE OPPORTUNITY
We are searching for the best talent for a Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Associate to join our MedTech business in Australia. As the HEMA Associate, you will work with high-performing multidisciplinary teams to identify, develop, and achieve funding and reimbursement for key product portfolios across Johnson & Johnson MedTech franchises. You will report to the Director for Health Economics Market Access at Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT) ANZ, contributing to the development of market access strategies and plans, supporting HEMA team members on projects, and developing applications for PL, MSAC, and DRG HTA/reimbursement, including relevant documentation.
You will be the key subject matter expert responsible for educating internal teams on local market access barriers and opportunities by gathering information on clinical benefits, health outcomes, and cost implications of the JJMT product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and achieve funding and reimbursement success related to key product portfolios.
* Provide clear communication of market access processes and government deadlines.
* Execute reimbursement plans and submit HTA and PL applications.
* Maintain product/billing code listings in collaboration with marketing and regulatory teams.
* Develop health economic tools to support business projects.
* Support RWE analysis using data such as AIHW, state procedural datasets, and local health data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Act as an ambassador for HEMA within the business and with global/regional teams.
* Collaborate with regulatory affairs, clinical, marketing, government, and other teams to create and implement market access strategies.
Qualifications - External
It’s all about you
* Education: Tertiary in Business, Health, Science, or related fields (Health Economics, Medical, Biomedical Engineering).
* Experience: At least 2 years in healthcare, medical devices, pharma, insurance, research, or academia.
* Market Access knowledge (highly regarded): understanding of pricing, reimbursement processes, and submissions within Australia and New Zealand.
* Strong communication, analytical, data interpretation, and project management skills.
