About the School

Cambridge Park High School (CPHS) is a proudly comprehensive school in Western Sydney, serving 632 students, including a dedicated Support Unit with seven Autism classes. Our school community is culturally and linguistically diverse: 19% of students come from a language background other than English, and 5% require EAL/D support. 18% identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Responsibilities and Specific Selection Criteria

- You must meet teacher training and academic qualification requirements.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching CAPA subjects with a strong understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships with students, staff, and the community.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high‑expectation environment supporting engagement and wellbeing.
- Expertise in leading others to develop inclusive CAPA teaching and learning programs that engage and challenge all students, including differentiated opportunities for high potential and gifted learners, and the implementation of extra‑curricular and enrichment programs.
- Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to design quality, inclusive programs.
- Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
- Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relations and engage students, staff and parents.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you must commence the application process at the same time as applying for this teaching opportunity.
