The Role
The Learning Strategies Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to support students in the classroom and assist with planning, resourcing and implementing Individual Learning Plans for Mathematics. As a valued member of our team, you will be part of making a real difference by positively impacting student experience and contributing to our school community. This fixed‐term position (until Dec 2026) is a part‐time role (0.6 FTE) based at our Caulfield Campus, providing key one‐on‐one, small‐group and classroom support for students in Years 7‐10, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Duties
* Structure teaching programmes informed by research and collegial advice on student learning.
* Develop differentiated teaching activities that cater to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, adhering to relevant policies and legislation.
* Provide flexible support tailored to individual students, employing effective assessment methods to monitor and report on student progress.
* Administer and interpret 1‐to‐1 diagnostic assessments.
* Collaborate actively with colleagues to develop and implement student‐centred Individual Learning Plans.
* Utilise strategies based on students' developmental characteristics to enhance learning outcomes.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation on student progress as required.
* Participate in professional development activities to continually improve teaching practices.
* Model and uphold Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Experience
* Experience supporting the differentiation of the curriculum within a secondary environment.
* Qualification in Learning Intervention.
* Relevant Secondary Teaching Qualifications.
* Hold a current VIT Registration.
