Gosnells Golf Club is looking for a qualified Junior Sous Chef to join the team.
We are a busy restaurant and function venue serving a high volume of modern Australian menu and Asian cuisine.
This is a busy position and will require an applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified chef that can fit in the role.
To be successful in this role you must have minimum 2 years of work experience in a busy kitchen environment. Completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operations.
About your role
* Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety/ OH&S standards
* Maintain proper standards of storage of various food items
* Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies
* Check delivery and minimize wastage as well as control food costs
* Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences
* Train new staff as required
* Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen environment
About you
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef in a busy restaurant
* Be passionate about the role to provide excellent customer service
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work with team and under pressure during busy hours
* Culinary degree Certificate III level or equivalent certification preferred
