Potts Point Hotel (PPH Investments Pty Ltd) is currently looking to expand its kitchen team and is seeking the talents and determination of an experienced, hard working Commis Chef.
We are seeking someone with experience in a high volume, fast paced commercial kitchen.
The successful candidate will have the following;
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 1- 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen
* Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Ability to work under pressure during service
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Team-focused mindset with clear communication
* Attention to detail in prep and presentation
* Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
The role will require the following;
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily food preparation
* Complete prep tasks accurately and to kitchen specifications
* Follow recipes, portioning guides, and plating standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations
* Support service by delivering dishes promptly and accurately
* Assist with basic cooking across sections as directed
* Store food correctly, including labelling and stock rotation
* Minimise wastage and handle ingredients responsibly
* Comply with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
* Assist with kitchen cleaning and close-down duties
The role is for a 40 hour roster with midweek and weekend work namely between 10am and 10pm.
Salary ranging $70,000.00 plus super.
