An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in the permanent part‐time Dietitian Assistant role. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery of high‐quality nutritional care to inpatients by coordinating daily menu selections, managing dietary requirements, and ensuring patient meals align with their clinical and personal needs. Working alongside Dietitians and Food Services, you will contribute to safe, effective, and patient‐centred nutrition support across both facilities. In this role, you will:

* An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in the permanent part‐time Dietitian Assistant role. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery of high‐quality nutritional care to inpatients by coordinating daily menu selections, managing dietary requirements, and ensuring patient meals align with their clinical and personal needs. Working alongside Dietitians and Food Services, you will contribute to safe, effective, and patient‐centred nutrition support across both facilities.
* Support Dietitians by monitoring patient oral intake and escalating concerns when needed.
* Liaise with Food Services to ensure accurate, timely, and patient‐appropriate meal delivery.
* Maintain accurate dietary records and contribute to the smooth functioning of the Dietetics Department.
* Provide high‐quality customer service, responding professionally to patient enquiries regarding meals and nutrition.

We are seeking a motivated, adaptable individual with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting patient wellbeing. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and be confident working across multiple teams and systems to ensure safe and effective nutritional care.

* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients, Dietitians, Food Services, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience using the CBORD database or a willingness and ability to learn menu‐management software.
* An understanding of the nutritional needs of patients with complex medical or dietary conditions.
* The ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support coordinated patient care.
* Flexibility to work a 7‐day rotating roster across Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition &Dietetics) or Certificate III AHA (Nutrition &Dietetics) or equivalent qualification or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience working as a Dietitian Assistant in a hospital with a commitment to commence Certificate IV within 12 months.
* Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, and customer relations skillsand experience.
* Good computer skills including experience using CBORD windows systemand experience using tablets for menu selection
