**Your day to day**
Under the guidance of the Revenue Manager, assist in the operations of the reservations department.
- You will be responsible for the accurate handling of individual and group related bookings
- Provide timely responses to reservations requests, including quoting, changes and cancellations
- Ensuring all guests and potential guests receive a polite, professional and efficient service
- Ensuring guest service standards are upheld, yield and occupancy management are utilised to achieve budget
- Assisting with group blocks effectively (both from a client perspective as well as accurate system management)
- Communicating with all departments in regards to movement, arrivals and departures of guests and groups
- Assisting in the implementation of operational plans to meet the hotel sales and revenue targets, in conjunction with the departmental goals.
**What we need from you**
- To assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the Reservations Department.
- To optimize hotel occupancy and average rate.
- To ensure customer service is of the highest possible standard; that productivity standards are achieved.
- To accurately process reservations, amendments and cancellations in Opera
- To maintain an accurate record of booking correspondence e.g. filing, paperwork.
- Understands the department's financial targets and work together with the Reservations Manager to meet them
- To assist in processing group bookings and liaise with appropriate department heads with regard to group requirements
