**About Ben & Jerry's**
Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., started in 1978 in a renovated petrol station in Burlington, Vermont, USA, founded by childhood friends Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. In 2000 Ben & Jerry's became a wholly owned autonomous subsidiary of Unilever whilst maintaining an independent Board of Directors that provides leadership focused on preserving and expanding Ben & Jerry's social mission, brand integrity, and product quality.
At Ben & Jerry's we have an inspiring ambition. To use our platform, our place in culture, our euphoric ice cream, and relationship with our fans to advance movements for social change. This translates into a fast-paced environment where we aspire to bring our grassroots and activist spirit into everything we do.
In Australia, Ben & Jerry's ice cream is known for its big chunks and irreverent tone of voice. Quickly after launching the brand in 2009 we have continued to grow our brand and our impact across Australia. As part of this growth, we are seeking to recruit an Activism Manager to lead the development of advocacy campaigns in Australia rooted in Ben & Jerry's core values. The current focus of the Australian advocacy campaign work is on the issue of climate change and the need to end fossil fuel use. This role will also work to leverage the community impact of our 40+ Scoop Stores.
