About the Role
We are seeking a Senior 3D Tekla Modeller with strong technical experience in structural and precast concrete modelling.
This role is ideal for someone who is not only skilled in Tekla Structures, but also understands engineering principles, constructability, and production workflows. You will work closely with structural engineers and project managers to produce highly detailed, accurate 3D models and shop drawings for real projects in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain 3D Tekla Structures models for precast and concrete elements (walls, slabs, columns, beams, stairs, etc.).
Prepare shop drawings, rebar layouts, lifting & connection details, GA drawings, and production files (Unitechnik / IFC).
Coordinate directly with engineers, project managers, and drafting team members to ensure design intent and constructability are met.
Identify and resolve modelling, reinforcement, and clash issues early in the design process.
Maintain and improve BIM templates, component libraries, and internal modelling standards.
Support training and mentorship of junior Tekla modellers.
Communicate clearly across teams in the Philippines, Vietnam and Australia, ensuring models and deliverables meet quality and deadline requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience using Tekla Structures (concrete and precast).
Solid understanding of structural detailing, reinforcement, lifting design, and connections.
Strong background in civil / structural engineering or drafting (degree or diploma preferred).
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects and deliver within tight schedules.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy.
Experience with Australian standards and precast detailing practices.
Familiarity with Peikko systems, hollowcore planks, or double-wall systems.
Knowledge of Unitechnik, IFC, and fabrication data exports.
Experience in precast factories or structural design offices.
