Primary objective
Provide administrative functions across the range of legislative frameworks administered by the agency throughout the
Northern Territory. Support compliance outcomes through a solution-focused approach, while providing guidance,
education and awareness to community and industry.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Process lodgements and assess for compliance against legislative requirements.
2. Update and maintain the record systems and databases for regulatory and performance reporting requirements.
3. Assist in the regulation and monitoring of incorporated associations, and other regulated occupations.
4. Provide clear and accurate advice and written correspondence, including information for senior staff and Ministers, as
required.
5. Contribute to improving compliance practices and support continuous improvement within the agency.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven to consistently behave in an honest, fair and professional way.
2. Ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements, or the ability to learn quickly.
3. High competency in computer and software use to create, edit and manage electronic documents and use databases.
4. Sound oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures, with empathy and professionalism.
6. Sound organisation skills, ability to use initiative and work with limited supervision to meet deadlines.
Desirable
1. Understanding of and/or experience working in a regulatory legislative environment.
