Our Cairns operation is growing, and we're looking for an experienced and motivated Air Conditioning Technician to join our dynamic team.
The Role
This role is ideal for a qualified and passionate technician who enjoys a mix of preventative maintenance and commercial installation work. You'll be working across a diverse range of projects, including hotels, commercial student accommodation, and commercial properties.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
* Installing and commissioning Packaged Air Conditioners, Split Ducted Systems, VRF/VRV Systems, and Central Plant Equipment.
* Fault-finding and diagnosing complex HVAC issues.
* Delivering quality workmanship in line with MPS's safety and performance standards.
* Working collaboratively with clients, project managers, and other team members.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
* Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).
* Current QBCC Licence.
* Construction White Card.
* Strong experience in commercial HVAC installation and servicing.
* Proven understanding of VRF/VRV, packaged units, split systems, and central plant.
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* A strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and a positive attitude.
* A valid driver's licence.
