Senior Ministerial and Briefings Officer Location: Adelaide, SA Contract: 6 months labour hire Salary: $65 - $70 per hour, plus super A South Australian Government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Ministerial and Briefings Officer to join their Office of the Chief Executive on a 6-month labour hire contract. This pivotal role ensures the timely coordination and delivery of ministerial correspondence, briefings, speech notes, and other key documents, acting as a strategic liaison between Ministerial Offices and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance for all ministerial and executive correspondence, ensuring alignment with government protocols and reputational standards. • Lead the development, coordination and review of complex ministerial submissions, speech notes, briefings and reports, often involving sensitive or high-priority matters. • Act as the primary liaison point between Ministerial Offices and internal senior stakeholders, managing expectations, resolving issues, and ensuring delivery of accurate, high-quality content under tight deadlines. • Drive continuous improvement across ministerial processes, identifying workflow efficiencies, embedding best practices and contributing to long-term capability uplift within the team. • Provide expert advice, mentoring, and leadership to other team members, supporting a collaborative, high-performing, and responsive work culture. • Influence decision-making by providing senior-level insight, context, and editorial guidance on high-profile or complex departmental matters. About You: The ideal candidate will bring: • Strong knowledge of Parliament and Cabinet processes and how they operate within government departments. • Demonstrated experience in preparing, reviewing and editing ministerial correspondence, submissions, reports and requests to a high standard. • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor content to audience needs and communicate with diplomacy and discretion. • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing competing deadlines with strong organisational skills. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document and workflow systems commonly used in government. • Experience within SA Government, with excellent attention to detail, a proactive and motivated work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • A high degree of political acumen, strategic awareness and sound judgement in handling confidential or sensitive matters. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and influence outcomes.
