**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct geological field studies and site inspections to collect rock, soil, and water samples.
- Analyse geological data using tools such as GIS software, seismic technology, and laboratory testing.
- Prepare reports and maps detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for project planning.
- Assess the viability of mineral and resource extraction through geochemical and geophysical analysis.
- Monitor environmental impact assessments related to land use, construction, and natural disasters.
- Advise engineering and construction teams on geological risks such as landslides, earthquakes, or soil stability.
- Work with drilling and exploration teams to determine suitable drilling sites and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all geological assessments.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in geology.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists.
**Required Qualifications & Skills:Education & Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geophysics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- years of experience in geological research, fieldwork, or resource exploration.
- Experience with geological modelling software (e.g., ArcGIS, Petrel, Surfer) is a plus.
**Technical & Soft Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in rock, mineral, and soil analysis techniques.
- Ability to interpret and visualise complex geological data.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work in diverse and remote field locations.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety procedures.
**Preferred Qualifications (Optional)**:
- Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Geologist, Fellow of the Geological Society).
- Experience in oil and gas, mining, or environmental consultancy.
- Familiarity with drone mapping and remote sensing technology.
**Work Environment**:
- Fieldwork may involve working in remote or challenging conditions.
- Some roles may require travel and extended stays at project sites.
- Office work includes data analysis, mapping, and report writing.
