Overview

The Team: Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania s largest hospital, and the Womens and Children a9s Services (WACS) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare for the paediatric patient cohort, including children, adolescents and newborns. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Responsibilities
* Work within a team of pharmacists at the Royal Hobart Hospital providing pharmaceutical care to neonatal, paediatric, and adolescent patients.
* Provide professional supervision and support to pharmacy staff and other health professionals in the designated clinical areas.
What you will need
* Working within the procedures developed by the Pharmacy Department for the provision of clinical services, provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to the areas of paediatrics and neonatal care.
* Take an active role in the maintenance and provision of drug information, drug utilisation evaluation and financial information for paediatric and neonatal care.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the prescribing and administration of Parenteral Nutrition in the clinical setting.
Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary and benefits

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.

Salary Packaging: Youll have access to salary packaging a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Additional allowances
* Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
* A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role
Benefits available to eligible candidates
* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
* For pre-registration (intern) pharmacists: Eligible for provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council.
* Current Working with Children Registration
