The Role:
The Innisfail depot is looking for a TUGdriver with an MC licence to join the team.
Permanent full time Monday to Friday with Saturday overtime available.
A role ideally suited to an experience MC Driver that still wants to be behind the wheel but also wishes to be home each night. A key role keeping our depot moving.
Duties you can expect with this role include:
* Driving the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers
* Reversing B-Doubles and Singles in the yard
* Coordinating drivers within the yard
* Refuelling fridge motors
* Conducting necessary yard checks
* Communicating effectively via 2-way radio
* Conducting necessary paperwork as required
The candidates we are looking for will have;
* A current MC drivers’ licence and experience in this licence class,
* TUG Driving Experience preferred however not necessary as training will be provided
* Experience transporting chilled and frozen freight highly regarded
* Experience checking and setting van temperatures,
* A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential)
To be successful for this role applicants must;
* Pass a Commercial Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
* Provide a current traffic print out
* Be able to meet the physical demands of the position, frequent climbing in & out the Tug
