Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself on providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and ambience dedicated to our African heritage while referencing Australian surroundings.
Our Canberra restaurant celebrates and incorporates both Aboriginal and South African traditions. We are looking for experienced and passionate Cooks who are committed to exceeding customer expectations and leading a professional, hardworking team.
Requirements:
* 1+ year of proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* A minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or 1-3 years of relevant experience
* Prepare all dishes to The Meat & Wine Co standards and recipes
* Strong understanding of all aspects of food and service
* Effective communication skills for a secure and friendly work environment
* Impeccable presentation, hygiene, and grooming standards
* Ensure compliance with all OHS legislation
* Ability to work over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, nights, and public holidays
