Job Overview
As a skilled professional in automation and control systems, you will play a key role in delivering complex projects while working alongside a talented engineering team. You'll be responsible for:
* Contributing and leading projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.
* Providing technical expertise in PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, instrumentation, and automation systems.
* Preparing scopes of work, execution plans, and schedules.
* Acting as Job Supervisor for assigned projects, ensuring delivery on time and to required standards.
* Ensuring compliance with safety and quality systems.
* Liaising directly with clients and fostering strong relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or related field).
* At least 3 years' technical design experience in automation, control, and electrical projects in a contracting/project delivery environment.
* Strong experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems integration.
* A proven track record of delivering projects on time.
* Excellent technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills.
Desirable Expertise
In addition to the above qualifications, it would be beneficial if you have:
* Functional Safety & Risk Management expertise.
* Hazardous Areas compliance knowledge.
* Industrial & computer networking skills.
* Major project contract management experience.
* Application-specific systems knowledge (e.g., boiler controls, mining automation).
