About the Job
This position reports directly to the Service Deli Manager and involves assisting with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters, and more. You will work as part of an enthusiastic team in a highly competitive supermarket environment, where you will be expected to demonstrate fresh food retail knowledge, supervisory skills, and a passion for customer service.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist with managing and coaching the team to ensure the smooth operation of the deli department
* Complete production tasks, process orders, generate rosters, and perform other duties as required
* Demonstrate expertise in fresh food retail and display strong leadership qualities
* Develop and implement merchandising strategies to enhance sales and customer engagement
* Maintain high standards of customer service and workplace health and safety
