With a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across the country, we are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Pre-Contracts Manager to join our Osborne Park based team.This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to play a key role in the front-end of project delivery—from tendering and negotiation through to contract execution.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Contracts & Estimating Support:Provide strategic input and advice to the Estimating Team during tender preparationSource and assess subcontractor proposals for compliance and valueAssist with the development of accurate, competitive, and commercially sound bidsDrive the pre-contracts process by coordinating risk management activities, insurance requirements, and ‘Go / No Go’ assessmentsParticipate in contract negotiations and manage approvals for executionMaintain and grow a robust opportunity pipeline in collaboration with business developmentAdditional Responsibilities:Business Development & Tender Strategy:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and suppliersLead the creation of clear and compelling win strategiesSupport the preparation of EOIs, RFQs, and tender submissionsEnsure finalised contracts align with agreed commercial and technical termsEngage with customers and leverage existing contacts to identify growth opportunitiesContracts Management Support:Provide expert commercial guidance to the Operations and Management TeamsEnsure proper communication and awareness of executed contracts across the businessSupport and review the submission of variations, claims, and site instructionsOversee high-value claim reviews (>$20,000) and tender term evaluations (>$100,000)Ensure adherence to company commercial policies and relevant legal frameworksSupport the development of Contract Rights & Obligations across teamsAbout You:You are a commercially minded leader with a strong grasp of contract law, pre-award strategy, and project risk, ready to shape successful project outcomes from day one.Essential Requirements:Tertiary qualifications in contracts, commercial/business law, or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience in a senior commercial or contract management roleDeep understanding of AS4000 suite and Bespoke Contracts (both lump sum and SOR) and Australian standards in construction and riskDemonstrated success in commercial negotiation and pre-contract processesExcellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skillsWhite Card, National Police Clearance, and valid “C” Class Driver’s LicenceStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS ProjectProven ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks, and work independently or within a teamDesirable:Qualifications or experience in Project ManagementBackground in communications, electricity, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectorsExperience with contract formation, tendering, and business development activitiesWhy Join GenusPlus Group?Be part of a progressive, high-performing company delivering major infrastructure projectsEngage in front-end strategy with real influence on business outcomesWork alongside industry leaders in a collaborative, solutions-focused environmentCompetitive salary, professional growth, and long-term career prospectsGenus Plus Group is committed to workplace diversity and inclusion.
