About The Role
CPCS are trauma-specific services for children, young people, and families/carers responding to violence, abuse, and neglect. This role involves providing counselling and psychoeducation to children, young people, and their families, aiming to ensure safety and prevent recurrence of harm. Responsibilities include counselling, coordinating health services, advocacy, and providing consultation and training on child protection issues.
Services are part of the Priority Populations Program (PPP) within MLHD, working collaboratively with integrated teams.
There are two opportunities:
1. A permanent part-time position (4 days/week, 32 hours) based in Wagga Wagga.
2. A temporary full-time maternity leave backfill until 27 March 2026, based in Griffith, Leeton, or Narrandera.
